Embark on an exhilarating adventure with our Pelagic Bird Watching Tour, tailor-made for seasoned bird enthusiasts. Departing bright and early, this six-hour voyage takes you 25 km offshore to the breathtaking Clayoquot Canyon aboard our 30 ft Boston Whaler, the Big White, led by experienced guide John Forde. Along the way, we make a stop at Cleland Island, where from May to August, you can observe Tufted Puffins along with other fascinating species like Cassin’s Auklet and Fork-tailed Storm Petrel. Please note that this tour operates intermittently and is best suited for experienced birders and guests comfortable with open ocean excursions. Safety is paramount; thus, in the event of unfavorable sea conditions or inclement weather, we reserve the right to cancel at short notice. We recommend having flexible arrangements to reschedule for better weather conditions if necessary.

WHAT TO BRING ON THE TOFINO PELAGIC TOUR:
Dress warmly in layers for the open boat (long sleeves, long sleeve shirt, pants, fleece or sweater) and warm hat
Rain gear (if it is raining)
Enclosed shoes (sandals not recommended)
Winter hat and gloves (early Spring / late Fall)
Binoculars
Camera - full battery and a clean card
Drinking water

Each passenger is required to sign a Release of Liability at check-in. Participants must be 19 years of age or require a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf.
