GUEST SERVICE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - 2019

Start Date: June 2019 or sooner!

Schedule: Full Time/40 hours a week

DETAILS: The Whale Centre is seeking a Front Desk Agent for the 2019 season.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintains up to date product knowledge of our Adventure Tours.

  • Maintains proficiency with our digital booking software and consistently enters all important guest information.

  • Consistently collects full payment at the time of reservation for all activities sold

  • Ensures that the check-in process is both timely and simple for all guests

  • Accompanies guests to suit room and assists them in preparing for their experience

  • Responds politely and professionally to all inquiries while maintaining a focus on sales

  • Maintains ongoing communication with all other team members to ensure everyone is on the same page

  • Ensure office and surrounding dock space are kept clean and tidy

  • Close and settle electronic payments and balance day-end cash outs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dynamic personality, outgoing, and enjoys working with others

  • Demonstrates the proven ability to succeed as part of a team as well as a desire to influence company culture

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English

  • Demonstrates superior attention to detail, commitment to quality, time management, and organizational skills

  • Complete daily task lists

  • Possesses the ability to think on their feet, prioritizing tasks to achieve specific goals

  • Must look forward to learning more about marine mammals, education, and ocean conservation

  • Available Saturdays, Sundays, evenings and holidays

  • Ability to speak other languages a bonus!

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Past experience working in tourism or customer service is considered an asset.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a cell phone or email address that can be checked daily.

  • No personal phone calls, texting or Facebook while at work

Staff accommodation is available for Full Time Employment.

Wages: $16.00 an hour.

Schedule: Part Time/20 hours a week/ 4 pm - 8 pm / 5 nights a week

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintains up to date product knowledge of Tofino Tours.

  • Maintains proficiency with our digital booking software and consistently enters all important guest information.
